Mouse And Lion
A lion was sleeping in a jungle. A small mouse was in a hurry. He didn’t
see the lion. And he ran over the lion’s mouth. The lion woke up and caught the mouse.
Lion: How dare you wake me up! I was having a great dream. What am I going to do with you?
Mouse: Please sir, don’t eat me… I am so small. I don’t taste good. I will pay you back someday.
Lion: Silence! Just go away.
Mouse: Thank you! Thank you!
‘What a noisy creature’, the lion thought.
Then one day, the lion was caught in a trap. He tried to cut free of the net.
But he couldn’t. So he cried for help. The mouse heard his cry and came to help.
Mouse: Oh sir, I will free you.
Lion: You? What can you do? Even I can’t free myself.
Mouse: Just wait and see.
The mouse quickly chewed the net and cut it one by one. Finally the lion was free.
Lion: Thank you. You have kept your promise. You are a good friend.
Mouse: Friend!!! You are welcome.
